Though, if people aren’t already doing anything special for names, I’d rather they capitalized the first letters than requiring to prefix it with #name. It’s easier to convey, and results in a more natural tweet. But I agree that better name detection heuristics are needed — still possible.

One observation I have is that capital letters are just as hard to type on many cell phones as hash symbols. It may not be preferable (or possible) to infer names based only on capitalization.
